For youth. By youth.
LeapOnward develops learning programs and supports youth-led educational and community initiatives. Our work brings together coding, AI-assisted learning, and attention to how students experience learning, alongside mentorship, fiscal sponsorship, outreach, and practical resources.
LEAP stands for Learn, Educate, Adapt, and Progress.
Our Story
We created LeapOnward to connect technology, learning, and community service. Our work includes programs we develop ourselves, such as Python for Kids and LeapOn SAT, and independent initiatives we support, including NOVA and LINK.
We are interested in both what students need to learn and how they experience learning. That interest shapes our coding instruction, work on learning tools, and exploration of knowledge gaps, cognitive load, and emotions.
We combine technical work with human support through small-group instruction, additional review time, instructor mentorship, and opportunities to ask questions. We also provide organizational resources that help student-led teams deliver educational and community programs.
